Materials

3.5mm hook

Black double knit yarn

Red double knit yarn

2 x yellow buttons

Wool needle

Scissors

Using black yarn

Make 4ch ( this makes 1 ch and 1 tr)

Round 1, 9tr in the first ch made , ss join into the top of the 3ch that counted as a tr.

Round 2, 3ch ( counts as a tr) 1tr into base of this st, 2tr in each remaining tr ( 20 sts).

Round 3, 3ch ( counts as a tr) 1tr into base of this st, 2tr in each remaining tr ( 40 sts).

Round 4, 3ch (counts as a tr) 1tr in each tr.

Round 5, 3ch (counts as a tr) 1tr in each tr.

Round 6, 3ch (counts as a tr) 1tr in each tr.

Change to red yarn

Round 7,  3ch (counts as a tr) 1tr in each tr, ss join.

Round 8,  3ch (counts as a tr) 1tr in each tr, ss join.

Round 9, 1ch ( counts as a dc) 1dc in each tr, ss join.

Round 10, 1ch ( counts as a dc) 1dc in each dc, ss join.

Ears,  make 4

Make 2 ch

Round 1, make 6dc into first ch.

Round 2, make 2dc in each dc  ( 12sts).

Round 3, make 2dc in each dc  ( 24sts).

Round 4, make 1dc in each dc.

Fasten off and sew in all ends.

Making up

Sew in all loose ends.  taking 2 ears with wrong sides facing each other, crochet or sew ears together, leave enough yarn at the end to sew onto the hat.   Repeat with other 2 ears.

NOTE : I like to sew ears into position whilst on the doll as sometimes depending on dolls shape of head the centre is not always where you think.

2 x 6mm safety eyes

toy stuffing

silk flower for embellishments

sewing up needle

scissors

Using colour for doll dress

Make 2ch then 6dc into the first ch
Round 1, 2dc in each dc                                               (12sts)
Round 2, 2dc in each dc                                               (24sts)
Round 3, 4, 5, and 6, make 1dc in each dc                  (24sts)
Round 7, (dc2tog, 4dc) x 4                                          (20sts)
Round 8, 1dc in each dc
Round 9, (dc2tog, 3dc) x 4                                           (16sts)
Round 10, 1dc in each dc

Change colour

Round 11, 1dc in each dc
Round 12, (2dc in next dc, 3dc)x 4                             (20sts)
Round 13, 14, 15, and 16, 1dc in each dc   
Round 17, (dc2tog, 4dc) x 4                                        (16sts)

Fix in safety eyes and add stuffing

Round 18,  dc2tog till work is closed at the top.
fasten off

Hair, using black

Make 2ch then 6dc into the first ch
Round 1, 2dc in each dc                                               (12sts)
Round 2, (2dc in next dc, 2dc) x 4                               (16sts)
Round 3,4,5 and 6, 1dc in each dc
Fasten off

Hair Buns

Make 2ch them 6dc into the first ch
Round 1 and 2, 1dc in each dc,  fasten off.

Sew in all ends, stitch on Hair and details.
