Just got my Dolls House World Magazine for October and i have had my first regular feature in it called Twelfth Scales, on page 20 and 21.  It is a chat/ project section and i am very pleased with the results.

Pumpkin

Just finished my first peice of crochet using a smaller hook and i am pleased with the result.  As you know a lot of my crochet is based on the Amigurumi style and this is the method i have used here.  I do think he is cute though and i think i can say this is 1/12th scale or 1/24th if you want a big pumpkin.  The pumpkin will be on my site priced at £3.50 plus p&p.  My fingers are a bit sore and working in this proportion is fiddely (don't know if that is the correct spelling) but it has made me want to try more, so keep watching.

Long Day

Thomas and Charlotte (My children)

After being bumper to bumper on the motorway finally arrived at our destination Bosworth Battlefield to see the 525th anniversary re-enactment of the Battle of Bosworth.  Thankfully we hadn't missed much when we met up with my sister Kate and her family.  The weather was beautiful and the kids enjoyed themselves although fell asleep in the car on the way back, but so did i (I wasn't driving you will be glad to know).  Thought i would share some photos with you.

big bunz little bunz

Well my first crochet mini. I used the same pattern for both the big and the small and this is the difference it made, using a smaller hook and thread I managed to reduce down to this size and for my first attempt I am pleased.  Had some advice though and my hook needs to be smaller so I can reduce even further.  This months crafting treats are hooks and cottons.

catz & dog

Just thought you might like to see them

 Poppy the only one who likes the dog, well sort of and Jack and thai. 

They are all family, Jack and Thai are father and daughter and poppy is a cousin

And here is Holly, shes about 10 months now we travelled to Wales to collect her 3 days before Christmas from Many tears animal sanctuary, who i have to say are amazing.  I know they say dont buy a dog at christmas but it just turned out that way after our dog Kara of ten years had to be put to sleep.
Holly is a collie cross we were told but as she and her siblings were just found in a bin bag (disgusting i know) we will never really know what she is apart from very loved.

Cup of tea at last

Finished at last! i've been trying to complete my submission for Dolls House World Mag and its been one distraction or another.  Finished now though so having a cup of tea and some biscuits and writting this.  Not be resting for long though as the cats and dog are staring at me because its nearly tea time and the kids want pizza.

The pictures i am putting on are the final item for my designs for the mag.  You will find the patterns in the next issue and i will be putting the finished items on my site
