AIM FREE online mag and advent calendar

If you havent already visited the AIM site it is a treat that you are missing.  I am lucky enough to be an AIM member and i have also have articles of mine included.  This month they have also done an advent calander a door each day to open with a free mini project behind.  I was excited to find that my cross stitch Christmas angel was in door number 2.  So why dont you take a peek.

Snow days

For some of you the amount of snow is laughable but when you come from and area that snow is rare you can see why ours has caused excitement.

Most years we get a bit but usually not more than a couple of inches but this year it certainly came down and brought much of the UK to a standstill.  Here are some pictures of the snow and of Holly who absolutely loves it.  We have had more snow since the pictures and the weather people say more may be on its way.  The kids have been happy though as there has been no school.    Sara x :o)

Well back fromGoth weekend and Whitby and it was great, but im going to post bit by bit as i have a few bits to catch up on from before i went away.

This is my last post till next Wed had so much to put on but run out of time before we go away tomorrow.  Just finished making outfits for our trip to whitby goth weekend, at alast.  we are going as a mix of vampires, steampunk and goths. will take some pics.  Holly the dog has some devil horns, if she will wear them.

At the moment we are preparing o go to the Whitby Goth weekend over Halloween and im madly making vampire, steampunk and goth clothing.  Thank goodness for charity shops for some of it.  Both my daughter and myself are having little top hats, that i am making and Charlotte thought it would be funny to put one on the dog.  I dont think the dog thought it was funny.  Take a look.  Sort of got revenge on Charlotte though as she had not long since crawlled out of bed when the picture was took.  lol.

Christmas garland & welcome

Hope you like this garland, crochet by me, it took a while but i think it was worth it.   The pattern I purchaced from buttercup miniatures, which is an excellent  site if you both like to make your own products as well as buy them already done.  http://www.buttercupminiatures.co.uk/

Look what i've got!!!!!

Had to show you my recent purchases one i got a week a go and the other this morning.  I've been part Christmas shopping with one of each of these items for myself the others for my daughter for Christmas.  Ive been waiting all day for her to go out as she was not at collage today to take the pictures. lol.

The first picture is of two beautiful pendents from Myrate, http://www.myrate.es/ she is a fellow blogger that translates her amazing paintings into various forms of wearable items.

And the second set of pics will certainly make the miniaturists out there jealous, these beautiful hats are of course from Kat the Hat Lady.  The pink one is mine and the black/ goth style is for my daughter.  Kat has made this to order for me and i couldnt wait to open the box, thanks Kat

pumpkins

This the second year that we have grown pumpkins on our allotment and we have been very pleased with the results.  Not as many athis year but still done well.  Some will be saved for Halloween and some for pumkin soup. Would be interested if anyone has other recipes, particularly pumpkin pie as this is not an item we eat in the UK.  Sara x :)

What a great surprise

Well had a long day today, did a craft fair and realized this is the wrong venue for minis, never mind a lesson learned and all that!.  Met some lovely people and a few with mini connections.  Came home and thought would have a quick look on my blog before settling down and SURPRISE!!!!!   I recieved a message from DFly Creations, i have won one of her 100 follower givaways, dont know what it is yet but that makes is more fun, will let you know when i get it.  Im a real kid and love parcels.  I know it will be great because all her creations are.  Sara :o)))

Tiara

Noticed the crowns posted which are so sweet and it reminded me i have not shown any of you my mini tiaras.  The tiaras were the item that made me decide to set up as a little business and i feel are one of my signature peices.  So heres some pics, hope you like them.  These are all hand made using wire and tiny beads.  The pictures just show the basic design and colour.  I know have some with roses in but not taken any pics yet.
